The elephant leather preserver is a purely synthetic, acid free leather wax and an ideal treatment for antique leathers plus leathers constantly exposed to harsh conditions. The wax has a strong waterpoofing action and prevents mildew growth, prevents threat-rot, revives faded dyes and gold embossing. A common treatment for older convertable cars with leather seats and leather seating and surfaces on boats, this formula has been used for many years by European museums for preserving and restoring stiff or old leather, hence the name of the product. Also can be used on quality handbags, suitcases, saddles and shoes.
This product was featured on TV!! - Fast N Loud (season 4, episode 3) on the Discovery Channel !!
"I recently bought two tins of Elephant Leather Preserver. This stuff is fantastic. I had never heard of it before untill I saw a TV show on cable called Fast 'n Loud. On that show they buy old cars from the 20's & 30's and 40's that have been in garages and on farms and just collecting dust. They then fix them up and re sell them to collectors. Anyway, on one old 1920's roadster, I saw the mechanic redoing the seats and making them look like new. He was using Elephant Wax. Well I bought some for some old Brooks bicycle saddles and an old motorcycle jacket and a leather coat of my wife's. My wife and I have used it and it makes old and worn leather look like new. Anyway, had it not been for that TV show, I never would of heard about it."
